PowerApps：タブレットアプリとレシートプリンターの接続の仕方（注文管理アプリ）
この記事では今まで無理だと思われていたスマホやタブレット内のPowerAppsのアプリからレシートプリンターの印刷を実現する方法をご紹介します。

今回作成した注文管理アプリの完成した動き
こんにちは、リーンシグマブラックベルトのマイク根上です。
業務改善コンサルをしています。
今回PowerAppsの新しい案件でレストランで使う
注文管理アプリを作りました。
今までお客の注文を紙に書いて厨房に渡してましたが、
売上記録を残すためにシステム化をしたいという依頼でした。
ここで一番難しかったのが、
入力した注文を厨房に渡すために紙に印刷する事でした。
試行錯誤の末にできたので、そのやり方を今回ご紹介します。
今回の技術でレジのレシートを印刷したり、
工場でのステッカーの印刷等、
PowerAppsの活用範囲がグウーンと広がると思います。
まずは完成した動きを見てみましょう。
シナリオとしてはウェイターがお客さんのテーブルで紙に注文を書いて、
タブレットの場所に行き下図の画面で注文を入れます。
画面が英語ですみません。
まず、ウェイターである自分の名前（①）とテーブル名を選び（②）、
そしてカテゴリを選んで（③）、
お客の注文品を選び（④）「Add（追加）」を押して（⑤）追加します。
メニューによってはサイドメニュー付きのものもあるので、
その場合は次に選択画面が出てきます。
ステーキの焼き方などの個別の指示がある場合は
画面右端の「…」を押して「Note」を選ぶと、
メモの入力もできます。
または、削除したい時も「…」の後の「Delete」で削除もできます。
この部分は前回の動画でご紹介した
モダンコントロールのToolbarコントロールです。

そのテーブルの全ての注文入力が終わったら
右上の「Check Order」ボタンを押して、
次の確認画面で「Print」を押すとブラウザの印刷画面に行きます。
画面右上の「Print」を押すと下図の様に印刷されるのです。
この実現が今回のテーマです。
ちなみに紙の紛失とかでもう一度印刷したい時もありますね。
その時は最初の画面で「Re-print」を押すと
その日のオーダーの一覧が出てくるので
該当するオーダーの「Re-print」ボタンを押すとまた印刷できます。
Print関数はPowerAppsのアプリでは使えない。解決方法は？
今回はアプリの作り方ではなく、
このレシートプリンターとの連携方法が焦点です。
その連携のトリガーとなるのが、アプリ内のPrint関数です。
これについては前に詳細動画を作りました。
⇒「PowerAppsの印刷機能の作り方（ギャラリーの非表示行を印刷する）」
ボタンなどの「OnSelect」属性に「Print()」と入れたボタンを押すと、
そのブラウザの印刷機能が起動して印刷ができるのです。
しかし、ここで大きな問題があります。
PCではこの関数は問題なく機能するのですが、
スマホやタブレットに入れたPowerAppsアプリ内には
印刷機能がないのでその方法では
このPrint関数は現時点では使えないのです。
この時点でこのプロジェクトが中止になりそうでしたが、
頑張って解決策を見つけました。
それは、タブレット内でこのアプリのURLをコピーして、
タブレットのブラウザのURLボックスにペーストします。
そのブラウザ内でそのアプリを使うと
ブラウザの印刷機能を利用して印刷ができるのです。
Bluetooth直接接続とWI-FI経由接続の比較
次の問題はタブレットとレシートプリンターをどう繋げるかです。
一般的に二つの方法があり、
Bluetoothで直接繋げるか、WI-FI経由で繋げるかの方法があります。
通常のタブレットはどちらにも対応してますが、
レシートプリンターは機種によって
どちらに対応してるかが変わってきます。
最初は「Bluetooth直接接続」を試みました。
結論から言うとこれは上手くいきませんでした。
タブレット内のブラウザの内容を印刷するのに
他の印刷するアプリのインストールが必要でした。
その中でPowerAppsの注文アプリを開くことができましたが、
画面がもっと小さくなり、
印刷もうまくいきませんでした。
またもう一つの問題がBluetooth接続だと
タブレットとプリンタの距離が
１０メートル以内でなければいけないという事でした。
一方「WI-FI経由接続」で
アップルのiPadを使う方法で上手くいきました。
アンドロイドではブラウザの内容を印刷する機能が不十分だったので
僕は上手くいきませんでした。
アップルだと独自の「AirPrint」機能と言うのがあり、
プリンターがそれに対応していれば
他のアプリのインストール無しで
印刷する事ができるのです。

その中で今回使ったプリンターは
日本企業のスター精密の小型プリンター、TSP800IIシリーズです。
そのプリンターを自分が使うWI-FIに繋げて、
使うiPadも同じWI-FIに繋げると、
印刷ページでそのプリンターを選択できる様になり、
印刷ができるのです。
WI-FI経由接続の初期設定の方法（Star精密、TSP800IIシリーズ）
あまり情報が無いので
その初期設定のやり方も簡単にご紹介します。
まず、プリンターを電源に繋げて、
イーサネットケーブルでそのプリンターと
ご自分のWI-FIのルーターやWI-FIネットワークのポートに繋げます。
この作業は初期設定の時だけ必要です。
この状態でプリンターの「FEED」ボタンを押しながら電源を入れて、
動き出したらそのボタンを離します。
すると色んな情報が印刷されて、
最後の方にEthernet NetworkのIPアドレスが出てきます。
そして同じWI-FIに繋げているiPadのブラウザを開けて、
そのURLボックスにそのIPアドレスをタイプします。
すると上図の様なページが表示されて、
付属の説明書の指示に従って
そのプリンター内に自分のWI-FI名とパスワードを登録して、
自分のタブレットとの接続を完了する事ができ、
前述の様に印刷ができる様になるのです。
今回の技術を使えば、
レジでのレシート印刷もできますので、
PowerAppsだけで簡易POSシステムもできてしまいます。
実務では紙での情報伝達が必要な場面がまだまだあります。
今回の技術でPowerAppsの更なる活用範囲を広げる事ができますね。
