DMAIC: Introduction of the Control Phase and My Surfing in NJ

Hi, this is Mike Negami, Lean Sigma, Black Belt.
I always start my videos with this phrase, but it’s been a while since I’ve talked about Lean Sigma’s DMAIC.
The last ‘C’ in DMAIC stands for Control Phase. As a matter of fact, I started this YouTube channel 4 years ago with the goal to continue this channel until I finished making all the DMAIC topics.
So, I’ve been feeling that I would end this YouTube activity when I completed the Control Phase video. Therefore, I’ve hesitated to make this Control Phase video until now.
In fact, this video is the 120th episode. I’m sometimes surprised that I’ve been able to continue this long. Your viewership, comments, and subscriptions are my biggest motivation. I’m really appreciate all of you.

Well, in terms of the Control Phase, my family and I will move from New Jersey to another state in the US next week. So, preparation for that keeps me very busy right now, so please let me talk the topic in the next video.
Actually, there is one more reason for delaying this topic. I had always wanted to surf at the beach and started doing it last year. I did not know how to do it well at first, and it was very frustrating that I was paddling very hard, but I couldn’t go ahead much.
However, from this year, I’ve started finally enjoying it. My friend took my surfing video. Here you go:
I’m not good at it at all and it was embarrassing, but I’m very happy. Before I started surfing last year, I was wondering if I should do it or not, but now I’m having fun and I appreciate myself because I decided to start it.
However, the next town we’re going to doesn’t have any beaches close by. This is a problem.
In next video, I’ll talk about the Control Phase. Of course, this channel will continue after the Control Phase video.
